Hackathon – Camara API: Shaping the Future of Technology in Poland!

Orange continues to actively promote Network APIs with a series of hackathons meant for developers to participate, test and share new ideas and uses cases. Building on previous hackathons that started in 2024 with Vivatech, Orange OpenTech, APIDays and most recently at OpenGateway MWC’25, Orange organized one such event in Warsaw, Poland.
A Thriving tech ecosystem
Poland has emerged as a key market for Orange, known for its dynamic software development landscape and abundant business opportunities. Partnering with Nokia, Orange introduced Network APIs on two platforms: Orange Developer and Nokia Network as Code. The event was supported by the Foundation for the Development of Radiocommunication and Multimedia Technologies, fostering a collaborative environment for participants.
The Hackathon held in March 2025 in Warsaw, Poland, was a vibrant showcase of innovation, collaboration, and technological advancement. The event brought together developers, start-ups, and tech enthusiasts to explore the potential of the Network APIs under CAMARA open-source project.

- 🥈Pathfinders (WUT students): Autonomous Vehicle Traffic Management System – Utilizing Geofencing and Population Density for safer smart cities.
- 🥉Kacper Szafran: Trust Local – Implementing Location APIs to enhance buyer/seller trust in digital marketplaces.

- 🥇ProQoS – Geofenced Quality on Demand trigger for influencer engagement during specific events.
- 🥈V-Squad – SiteSpot Advertising – use of Population Density for billboard and outdoor advertising
- 🥉TBU (The Billiant Unicors) – Wheredevice – Compact and simple device prototype using Location APIs to track belonging
