The KYC Contract Signal API helps address these challenges by complementing existing Age Verification Provider (AVP) methods with additional operator-based signals to support more informed eligibility decisions. The API does not share or verify a user’s age. Instead, it provides contractual and number-control context that the AVP orchestration layer can use to allow, deny, or trigger flows based on defined decision rules.

Combined with the Number Verification API, the solution adds another layer of confidence by establishing that the person using the application is the legitimate user of the verified number. Together, these signals help decision engines make more reliable choices, reduce fraud, and create a more secure customer journey.

To provide Age Verification Providers with additional operator-based signals that support more reliable eligibility decisions before granting access to age-restricted products, services, content, advertising, or related journeys.

Registration or account access, login, checkout or purchasing journeys, access to age-restricted content, gaming and gambling journeys, and ad-supported or age-sensitive content access.

The API returns operator-based trusted signals related to contractual relationships and number control. These signals can be used by the decisioning/orchestration layer to support age eligibility workflows.

This product is currently available in France.

If signals are not available or inconclusive, your orchestration/decisioning layer should fall back to your defined verification strategy (for example, triggering step-up or enhanced verification) to ensure eligibility decisions remain accurate.

Supporting explicit consent as the legal base, user consent is required which is easily implementable with our Consent Info API. You remain responsible for ensuring your application complies with applicable laws and regulations.
